Maddie + Skyler

Skyler and I met on Tinder, had a first date two days before valentine's day at his house and as soon as I tasted his cooking, I was instantly hooked and knew that he was the one for me.

We started to go on hikes together during the spring and summer when it wasn't too hot outside. Skyler had told me about a hike that he's been doing for many years and it is one of his favorites, Mt. Elmo in the Crazy Mountains. Beginning of July, Skyler told me to take a long weekend from work at the end of that month, told me we were going to the Crazies and that his best friend Casey was coming along. On the hike we experienced many challenges but we persevered and made it to the halfway point and decided to take lunch and rest for a bit. We continued on and thought we saw a bear turned out to be a cow. We had ups and downs but we made it to the summit. Casey heads up to take a photo of us on the summit but then says " okay say Oklahoma" I get extremely confused and that is when I turn to Skyler thinking we are done and about to head down and he is getting on one knee asking me to be his wife. It truly was a surreal feeling and couldn't believe that he was proposing. I of course said yes!!

I am beyond looking forward to having such a beautiful venue with the people we love the most.

Skyler- "I am looking forward to celebrating with my wife, family and friends, about a new chapter in our lives. We have climbed many mountains and obstacles to get to where we are today. We are at a stopping point. This is not the summit, but while we take a break, let's celebrate the accomplishments we have made so far."
