Our first date was in a coffee shop. As fate would have it, we discovered we graduated high school together, we had moved to the same Montana town only a few months apart from one other, and eventually we both moved back to the same hometown. We had just missed each other multiple times throughout the years, until a dating website brought us face to face. Our pasts were wildly different from one another. I had pursued my love for medicine and developed my career, and he created a family and grew a business. It was our love for the outdoors and for one another that led to us becoming best friends.

Our relationship progressed over the course of 3 years. I became more of a permanent figure

in his girls’ life, and he became a father to my furry kids. It didn’t take long for us to fall in love.
